Turbines & Generators

At De Coon Services Limited, we provide engineering, maintenance, procurement, installation, and commissioning services for turbines and generators used across energy and industrial facilities. With solid experience in rotating equipment, we support clients operating in demanding and high-performance environments.

Our approach is straight-forward and results driven. We focus on maintaining mechanical integrity, improving operational reliability, and sustaining optimal efficiency across turbine and power generation systems. Through practical field experience, proven maintenance methods, and detailed technical analysis, we help clients reduce downtime, improve performance, and extend equipment life.

Scope of Services

We support turbine and generator systems throughout their operational lifecycle, from installation and commissioning to maintenance, overhaul, diagnostics, and performance improvement.

Installation, Commissioning, and Start-Up

We carry out the installation of gas turbines and industrial generators, covering both mechanical and electrical aspects. Our team handles precision alignment and coupling using laser-based systems, along with pre-commissioning inspections, loop checks, and functional testing.

Auxiliary systems including lubrication, cooling, sealing, and fuel systems are tested thoroughly to confirm operational readiness. During start-up activities, we provide close supervision and record baseline performance data for future monitoring and analysis.

Preventive and Predictive Maintenance

Our maintenance strategy is built around preventing failure before they occur. We develop maintenance schedules in line with OEM recommendations and actual operating conditions. We track equipment health in real time. This allows us identify early signs of wear or malfunction, helping clients avoid unplanned shutdowns and extend the service life of critical assets.

Inspection, Overhaul, and Refurbishment

We carry out minor and major overhauls, in-frame overhaul and equipment servicing  of turbines and generators, including complete disassembly, inspection, and reassembly of critical components such as rotors, stators, casings, and auxiliaries.

Our inspection procedures include Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods such as ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle inspection, and dye penetrant testing to detect hidden defects. We also carry out vibration analysis to detect imbalance, misalignment, bearing wear, and other developing faults. Additional services include blade repair or replacement, generator rewinding, insulation testing, excitation system servicing, and component refurbishment where necessary to restore operational performance.

Diagnostics and Troubleshooting

We provide troubleshooting support for both mechanical and electrical issues affecting turbine and generator systems. Our services include Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), fault diagnosis, and operational performance assessments.

Our team is equipped to respond quickly to operational issues, minimizing downtime through effective and timely intervention.

Performance Optimization and Upgrades

Precision is essential when working with rotating equipment. Our engineering services are carried out with a strong emphasis on accuracy and equipment integrity.

Services include dynamic balancing of rotors (both in-situ and workshop balancing), shaft alignment, geometric measurements, coupling inspections, lubrication analysis, and vibration diagnostics to ensure stable and reliable operation.

Precision Engineering Services

Precision is critical in rotating equipment, and we place strong emphasis on accuracy in all mechanical work. Our services include dynamic balancing of rotors (both in-situ and in workshop conditions), shaft alignment, and detailed geometric measurements.

We also provide vibration diagnostics, lubrication system analysis, and coupling inspections to ensure stable and reliable operation.

Spare Parts and Supply Chain Support

We assist clients with the sourcing and supply of OEM and OEM-equivalent spare parts for turbines and generators.

Our support includes critical spare planning, inventory management assistance, traceability documentation, and quality assurance to ensure all supplied components meet operational and technical requirements.

Quality Assurance and Control

Quality is embedded in how we plan and execute every job. Our processes are structured to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with recognized industry standards.

We work in accordance with recognized industry standards such as ISO, API and OEM specifications. Projects are executed using approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), supported by detailed reporting and documentation for complete traceability.

All tools and measuring instruments used are properly calibrated and certified, and our internal quality checks ensure that every stage of the work is verified before completion. We continuously review and improve our processes to maintain a high standard of delivery.

Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Assurance

Safety remains a core part of how we operate, particularly within high-risk industrial environments.

Before any task begins, we conduct thorough hazard identification and risk assessments. Activities are executed under strict Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems, in line with both regulatory and client-specific requirements.

Our personnel are properly trained and certified, and all operations are carried out using appropriate safety equipment and procedures. We also maintain clear emergency response plans and take necessary steps to minimize environmental impact, including controlling emissions, preventing spills, and proper waste management.

Our objective is to execute every project safely, efficiently, and without incident.
